Pale zip-front jacket with sweeping curved sleeves, worn with a short skirt and heeled sandals.

The Pure

A pale skirt opens at the thigh. Above it, a cropped jacket folds across the torso, its curved edge following the line of the waist. This contrast between a close line and an open shape runs through The Pure. Cream, ivory and muted grey keep the eye close to the cut, while a dark layer at the waist makes the overlapping pieces more distinct.

Sleeves become broad curves around the arms. In one look they extend out from the figure; in another, a narrow dress keeps the body closely defined beneath them. A tied waist gathers a wider shape, and an upright collar rises around the face. Each gesture changes the balance between the body and the space around it.

The photographs let the clothes unfold through different poses: an arm lifted, a shoulder turned, the figure leaning into the frame. Full silhouettes sit alongside closer views of folds, seams and overlapping fronts. Across the collection, a clear outline is continually altered by the body within it. There is as much to discover in the turn of a sleeve as in the complete look.
