A pattern is the hidden architecture of a garment. I love the moment when a difficult line begins to work, when cloth accepts a curve and the silhouette appears without having to be forced. I construct patterns for high-end woven pieces where that individual attention makes a difference.
From The Flowing collection
I specialise in woven fabrics, not jersey or routine commercial pattern work. Bring me the challenging sleeve, the collar that must stand just so, the volume that looks effortless but refuses to behave. Material is part of the question from the first conversation.
We begin with the drawing, a reference piece or a feeling you want the garment to hold, together with measurements and your proposed fabric. I make patterns, toiles and first samples myself. If a toile is part of the brief, we can examine the balance on a body and make the changes a sketch cannot teach us.
Before beginning, we agree the pattern format, fittings, revisions and handover. Some garments reveal their solution quickly; others need time with the material. The scope, complexity and work involved determine the schedule and fee.
My pattern studio is in Stockholm. Short visits elsewhere can be agreed where fittings or development require them. Every commission is scoped and priced individually.
Send drawings or clear references, proposed woven fabric, measurements or size requirements, photographs of any existing sample, the intended deliverables, budget and deadline.
